Biography

Dr. Anil Pokhrel (MBBS, MD, DM) is a Consultant Nephrologist at Star Hospital and Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. Between 2010 and 2013, Dr. Pokhrel was Medical Director of Star Hospital, Sanepa, Lalitpur. He holds good clinical experience and has exposure in dealing with complicated case.
Dr. Pokhrel graduated from Bangladesh in 1999. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine (MD) and Nephrology (DM) from NAMS, Bir Hospital.
Dr. Anil’s main clinical interests are the management of patients with glomerular diseases and kidney transplantation. In addition to clinical medicine, he manages hospital inpatients and ICU/critical care patients. At Star Hospital he works with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, nurses, radiologists and pathologists which enables the delivery of first class care to patients with kidney diseases.
